West Lake Country Club is an exclusive country club in Augusta, Georgia, that was member-owned since 1969. The club sits on 200.5 acres and features an Ellis Maples-designed championship golf course that is ranked second only to Augusta National in the local club market. The Club has a full range of amenities, including a 30,000-square-foot clubhouse, junior Olympic swimming pool, eight Har-Tru tennis courts, and state-of-the-art fitness facilities.
West Lake Country Club struggled with mounting debt and declining membership, causing them to look for new ownership. “West Lake wasn’t bankrupt, but it was in a death spiral,” said Adam Murchison, Membership Development Director.
In 2015, the club recapitalized with Concert Golf, allowing them to put the fun back into West Lake. Since the new ownership, West Lake Country Club has added 92 memberships and repositioned itself as a full family club with casual dining options, spa services and a youth room.
