Philmont Country Club

Philmont Country Club, the historic member-owned private club in the north Philadelphia suburb of Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania, completed its recapitalization with Concert Golf Partners, the boutique owner-operator of high-end private clubs, on February 28, 2017. The transaction was unanimously approved by the club’s Board of Directors and overwhelmingly approved by a 95% vote of its members. Philmont Country Club members saw all club debt paid off at closing, their annual member dues frozen for the next two years, more than $4 million of immediate capital projects launched at the club, and, best of all, a permanent guarantee of no more member assessments.

Successful Recapitalization

After partnering with Concert Golf, Philmont Country Club could complete $5 million in renovations, including:

• Building a new restaurant venue (The 1906 Grille)
• Resurfacing the Olympic-sized swimming pool and kids’ pool
• Restyling the Founders Room, ballroom and lobby lounge
• Creating a new stone patio overlooking the 18th green
• Renovating the golf shop and locker rooms
• Adding a state-of-the-art fitness center with a golf simulator
