Music, Community and Giving Take Center Stage at TPC Monterey at Pasadera’s 2nd Annual MusicFest

Concert Cares event raises over $50,000 for local music education and Meniere’s disease, bringing two-year total to nearly $70,000

Former Santana Lead Singer Tony Lindsay headlined the performers, while music legend Huey Lewis supported the event’s cause

MONTEREY, Calif. (Oct. 13, 2026) – Music filled the air at TPC Monterey at Pasadera, but the most important note of the night was generosity.

More than 250 members and guests gathered for the club’s second annual MusicFest last month, raising more than $50,000 to support music education in the Monterey Peninsula Unified School District, as well as efforts to address Meniere’s disease, a debilitating disorder that can cause severe hearing and balance issues.

The event was a part of the Concert Cares program. Through Concert Cares, clubs in the Concert Golf Partners portfolio, including TPC Monterey at Pasadera, collaborate with local nonprofits, host fundraising events, and make targeted donations that reflect the values of the club and the needs of the local community.

“This is a perfect fit for our Concert Cares initiative, one that after year two of MusicFest will be something that is an annual fundraising tradition for TPC Monterey at Pasadera,” said club General Manager Mike Dooda.

The event benefited two local causes – the Monterey Peninsula Unified School District music program and Meniere’s disease, which causes deafness and severe balance issues. Legendary Singer Huey Lewis was diagnosed with the condition a few years ago, which ended his performing career. Lewis extended his support to the event.

“I unfortunately suffer from Meniere’s disease, a debilitating hearing and vertigo disorder that caused me to prematurely leave singing and performing,” stated Lewis. “There is no cure at this time. I strongly support this program, and encourage all music lovers to do so as well.”

Tony Lindsay, a 11-time Grammy Award winner and former lead singer of Santana for 25 years, was the featured act of an evening of music and fundraising that served as a member kickoff to the internationally renowned Monterey Jazz Festival weekend. Both a silent and live auction drove the charitable efforts. Performers split between two stages both outside and inside an impromptu jazz club.

“I bring jazz everywhere I go, and music and dance are the best first medicine,” said Lindsay. “You have to donate to causes like this, keep them alive, and keep it going. It’s a good thing.”

What began as a single fundraising event is now becoming something larger: an annual tradition that brings together members, musicians and the broader Monterey community around causes that matter. That evolution reflects the philosophy behind Concert Cares, which encourages each Concert Golf club to identify opportunities to make a meaningful local impact in ways that authentically reflect its members and community.

“The club has been wonderful, not just cooperative, but generous,” said TPC Monterey at Pasadera Member and prior club investor Bob Rosenthal, who founded the event last year to benefit the local community and raise awareness about Meniere’s disease.

Formerly The Club at Pasadera, TPC Monterey at Pasadera is one of 40-plus premier private clubs in the Concert Golf Partners portfolio and its second TPC-licensed property, joining TPC Jasna Polana in Princeton, New Jersey.  Acquired by Concert Golf Partners in 2023, TPC Monterey is the only Jack Nicklaus design in the region. Nestled in the iconic landscape of the Monterey Peninsula and framed by the Santa Lucia Mountains, the course is the centerpiece of the 565-acre Pasadera community.

The club also offers an array of amenities designed for both recreation and relaxation. Members can enjoy access to a world-class tennis club, a fully equipped gym, a lap pool and a comprehensive wellness and training center offering personalized programs.
